Youvit’s first product, the world’s best tasting multivitamin gummy, was launched in April 2017 and quickly became the best-selling vitamin products selling over 1,400,000 sachets in the first 18 months in 15,000 retail locations. We have successfully launched six products with several new products planned with the aim to expand to 35,000 retail outlets by the end of 2023. To scale our operations into new sales channels, new categories and new markets, we intend to board strong new team members who are eager to support us with bringing our journey to the next phase.

Our Junior Channel Manager General Trade (Project Based) will have the following responsibilities: 

  1. Sales Forecasting
  • Sales Forecast| Support  bottom-up sales forecast supported by a comprehensive Trade Marketing Plan (TMP) to meet quarterly and annual sales targets for the General Trade (GT) Retail  portfolio. This includes Modern Trade  Independent (MTI) Health, General, Kids, Cosmetics, a variety of other GT stores.
  • Trade Marketing Plan (TMP) on MTI Channel | Translate the campaign calendar from the Marketing team into a  TMP customized to retailer and store level, that achieves the above sales forecast. Trade Marketing includes the planning and implementation of product availability, product visibility, consumer /trade promotions, field team activity and frontliner engagement.
  • Sell In & Sell Out | Support retailer purchasing and sales according to target per sales  channel Modern Trade Independent  for each product category (Health, Beauty, Kids).

2. Trade Marketing Plan (TMP)

  • Joint Business Planning | Support the Distribution Management team in negotiating strong partnerships for the execution of the TMP. This includes product availability, frontliner engagement and product visibility through usage of product displays (a.o. COC displays) and various Point of Sale  Materials (POSM).
  • Field Team | Structure the job responsibilities of the field team, including Team Leaders, SPGs and (Sales) Merchandisers and work hand in hand with the Sales Operations Manager to execute the TMP on store level.
  • Sales Brief | Develop a monthly drumbeat of trade marketing to sales brief to share upcoming promotions and activations plans
  • Budgeting | Undertake the actions above while managing a budget including TTA, SKP, Product Returns, Materials and Manpower that turns YOU’s sales operations profitable.

3. Demand Building

  • Sell Out | Analyze brand sales through results in GT channel per category and make recommendations to increase results on a month-to-month basis.
  • Monitor | Monitor the execution of the TMP, by means of on-shelf availability, installation of visibility and consumer/trade promotions to measure effectiveness. Improve upon the Trade Marketing strategy through iteration based upon these data driven learnings.
  • Ranging | Organize optimal product assortment for products categories, product formats and pack sizes across GT retail to grow both customer acquisition and retention across SKUs.
  • New Product | Create launch plan in support of New Product Development (NPD)
  • Consumer / Trade Promotions | Develop consumer / trade promotions in collaboration with the Marketing Department and Sales Department and support the in-market execution.
  • Area Development | Work with the marketing team to create activation strategy to support development tier 2 area 

4. Market Insights 

  • Home Shelf Planogram | Survey and report upon planogram arrangement to inform channel management team on planogram optimization. Assess existing share of space of Youvit and create plan to expand upon share of space versus competitors
  • Shoppers | Conduct regular surveys with shoppers to improve understanding of customer’s needs, preferences and behavior in order to exceed their expectations 
  • Competitors | Identify competitors and potential partner brands and study their promotional activities, in-store activities, and campaigns 
  • Market Trends | Stay up to date with market trends and how they impact store potential across sales channels  

5. Team Work

  • Team Work| Undertake the above actions while working side by side with the Distribution Management team, Sales Operations Team and understanding market, retailer and store dynamics.
  • In-store Execution | Ensure in store sales and marketing promotions are properly executed and have a passion for being in the field and on the move 24/7!


  • Solid academic background (S-1)
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a fast-paced work environment, experience in trade marketing / area sales / management trainee commercial in FMCG or Pharma Industry;
  • Excellent communication and writing skills; Good command in Bahasa Indonesia, English is preferred; 
  • Good relationship management skills;
  • Strong in quantitative and qualitative reasoning and good with numbers. Familiar with project management and reporting;
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills - 'getting-things-done' over a process driven mentality; systematic thinking, strong analytical, communication and excellent problem-solving skills;
  • High moral standards and personal qualities of integrity, credibility, commitment to the business;
  • Able to work within an ambiguous and fast-paced environment;
  • Strong feeling of responsibility;
